Kelowna Memorial Arena

Memorial Arena is the old downtown rink on Ellis Street, a few blocks from the waterfront, and in winter it hosts City of Kelowna public skating alongside a dedicated Seniors Skate — a quieter, slower session that regulars prize. It is a bring-your-own-skates building: there are no rentals here, so if you need gear, use Rutland Arena or the Stuart Park rental hut instead. Sessions are pre-booked online through the City's recreation portal (bring your confirmation email); admission follows the City scale of $4.75 general, $4 for children 6 to 13, $3 for preschoolers and $12 for a family of two adults and three kids, with the child and preschool rates arranged by phone at 250-469-8800 because online booking sells only the general rate. Public skating returns each October, and a skate here pairs naturally with a downtown lunch or a walk along the lake.
