Pat Duke Memorial Arena

Lumby's Pat Duke Memorial Arena, built as a Centennial project in 1967, is the village's winter living room: a single standard-size ice sheet with change rooms that hosts minor hockey, figure skating and the men's and women's hockey leagues — and, for visitors, free public skating. There is no charge for public skating or for the parent-and-tot and seniors' skate sessions, which makes it one of the best-value ice times in the North Okanagan and a natural stop on a snowy day heading for the Monashees. The schedule lives on the Regional District of North Okanagan's online booking calendar and changes week to week, and the arena closes to public skating on Lumby Minor Hockey tournament weekends, so check the calendar or call 250-547-2171 before you go.
