About Okanagan Roam
Okanagan Roam is a free, locally run guide to the Okanagan Valley — the restaurants, wineries, beaches, trails, hidden corners and events worth knowing about, from Enderby to Osoyoos, all in one place.
Made here, by a local
Hi, I’m Dayton.
I was born and raised in Kelowna, and Okanagan Roam began with a simple love for this valley. For the people behind its cafés, wineries and family-run businesses. For the lakes, orchards and mountains that never get old. For the quiet trails where you can still spot an osprey over the water or a bighorn sheep on the hillside.
The Okanagan is truly one of the best places in the world. It deserves a guide that does it justice.
Why it exists
Planning a day here used to mean a dozen open tabs: one for hours, one for a patio, another for what’s on tonight, and a map to tie it all together. Okanagan Roam brings it into one place. Find a lakeside lunch, a winery for the afternoon, a beach the kids will love and something happening tonight, then build your whole trip as you go.
Whether you’re here for a weekend or you’ve lived here all your life, the goal is the same: make it easy to see the very best the Okanagan has to offer.
What’s on the site
- Places to go. 1,753 restaurants, wineries, cafés, beaches, trails and more in 20 towns, from Enderby to Osoyoos.
- What’s on. 639 upcoming events, updated every week.
- Local guides. 60 guides written for the season, from fall farms to ski days.
- Build My Trip. A free planner that turns one sentence into a day or a weekend, using only the places listed here.
How places get on the site
- Every listing is free. Restaurants, wineries, cafés, parks and events are listed at no cost.
- Details are checked. Hours, addresses and features come from official sources — the business’s own website, its Google listing or the business itself — and get updated when they change.
- Picks have a reason. Hidden Gems, Local Favourites and the guides are chosen by hand, and every card says why it made the list.
- Owners keep their listing up to date. Every business gets a free edit link to change its hours, add photos and menus, and post events.
- Star ratings come from Google reviews. We don’t write, buy or edit reviews.
- Photos come with credit. When a business sends its own photos, its name goes with them.
- Sponsored spots are always labelled. Some businesses may pay for a featured spot. It’s marked “Sponsored”, and paying never changes a listing’s details or its Google rating.
