Terms of Use

Okanagan Roam is free to use. By using the site, you agree to these terms. We have kept them short and in plain English.

Information on the site

We work hard to keep listings accurate, but hours, prices, menus, dog rules, events and other details can change without notice. Please check with the business or organizer before you go, especially for anything time-sensitive. The site is a guide, not a guarantee.

Listings and picks

Listings are free. Hidden Gems, Local Favourites and other collections are our own editorial picks. Business owners can ask us to correct or update their listing at any time.

Things you send us

When you send us a listing, an event, photos or other content, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You allow Okanagan Roam to publish it on the site and on our social media, with credit where you ask for it. We may edit submissions for length and clarity, and we may decline any submission.

Our content

The text, design and guides on Okanagan Roam are ours. You are welcome to share links to any page, but please don’t copy large parts of the site. Photos belong to their owners and are used with permission or under their licence.

Links to other websites

We link to businesses, maps and other websites to help you plan. We are not responsible for their content, prices or policies.

Getting out there safely

Trails, beaches, lakes and backcountry areas carry natural risks. Follow posted rules, leash laws and fire bans, check conditions before you go, and use your own judgment. You are responsible for your own safety.

Limits of our responsibility

Okanagan Roam is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its information.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms from time to time; the date below shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there.
