Mara Provincial Park is a day-use family picnic spot on the shore of Mara Lake, about 20 minutes' drive north of Enderby along Highway 97A. Swim in the designated areas only, since boat traffic on the lake is heavy in summer, and leave the dog at home, because pets aren't allowed on the beach. There's no camping, so plan it as an easy afternoon outing.
