Indoor golf in the Okanagan
When the outdoor season winds down, you don't have to put the clubs away. The valley has a good spread of simulator spaces in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton.
Some are self-serve bays you can book at any hour, some are built around lessons and real swing data, and some are as much a night out as a round of golf.
Play any hour
- The Fringe Indoor Golf (Kelowna): A 24/7, staffless simulator space off Lakeshore, where secure mobile access replaces a front desk. Four Trackman iO bays cover more than 300 virtual courses, with hourly rates and membership discounts.
- Anytime Sim Golf (Kelowna): A fully automated simulator on Vaughan Avenue: book a private bay online and a CloudKey unlocks the door when you arrive. It runs day or night, 365 days a year, on Foresight Sports launch monitors.
- GOLFBOX (West Kelowna): Three private bays with Trackman iO technology in a boutique space of live-edge wood and warm lighting, open 24/7. An upstairs boardroom makes it work for corporate bookings too.
- Back Nine Indoor Golf (Vernon): Three roomy private bays on Full Swing technology, with a course library that includes Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. No membership is required to book a bay, and members get round-the-clock access.
Lessons, data and club fitting
- Golf Evolution (Kelowna): GC Hawk simulators with tour-level club and ball data, plus lessons, club fitting and maintenance from a Canadian Certified PGA Professional. Credit-based Evo Packs can be shared with friends or family, and there's a lounge with food and drinks.
- JSquared Golf (Kelowna): An instruction-focused operation on the Gallagher's Canyon property, with a GCQUAD launch monitor and PGA of Canada professionals teaching golfers of every level. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Predator Ridge SIM Lounge (Vernon): A seasonal indoor golf spot that reopens each fall and runs through the winter, with Foresight launch monitors and more than 90 virtual courses. Bookings are by phone only, in one-hour blocks for up to four, and a PGA of Canada professional offers lessons.
Leagues and a night out
- Okanagan Virtual Golf (Kelowna): A Brewery District lounge with four bays and roughly 2,000 virtual courses, from Predator Ridge and Tower Ranch to Augusta. A fully licensed bar pours local craft beer, cocktails and mocktails, and there are organized leagues.
- Okanagan Virtual Golf (Penticton): A simulator lounge on Main Street with three bays, more than 400 virtual courses and a dedicated training bay. Lessons come from instructors connected to Summerland Golf Club, and winter scramble leagues run once the outdoor season ends.
- Dante's Golf Lounge (Vernon): The Rise's indoor golf spot, with two Foresight simulator bays, rental clubs and food and drinks from the restaurant next door. A winter scramble league adds some friendly competition.
- Simplex Sportszone (Kelowna): Golf studios on Trackman 4 and Full Swing technology, with in-house PGA coaches, in a licensed building that also has simulators for hockey, baseball, soccer and more. Event hosting for groups of up to 40 makes it a go-to for birthdays and team outings.
