International Hike and Bike Trail

The International Hike and Bike Trail runs 18.4 km along the Okanagan River channel between the north end of Osoyoos Lake and Oliver, a wide, relatively flat dyke path past vineyards, farms and wineries that is great for all ages on foot or by bicycle; nearly 10 km of it is paved, according to Oliver Tourism. The Osoyoos end is reached at the wooden bridge on Road 22, 8 km north of town, and in Oliver the trail links to the town's parks, including Oliver Community Park at 6359 Park Drive. The Town of Oliver allows dogs off leash on its section of the trail south of Fairview Road, on the west side of the river, from dawn to 9 a.m. year-round; at other times and elsewhere leash rules apply, and the Regional District portion publishes no rule.
