Pincushion Mountain Trail

Pincushion Mountain is Peachland's viewpoint hike, climbing from the top of the town to a rocky summit above Okanagan Lake. The trailhead is at the very top of Ponderosa Drive, at the Chateau on the Ridge entrance, and the gate where the hike begins sits at 570 metres. The District of Peachland is clear that this is an unmaintained, undesignated Crown Land trail — a wilderness hiking trail rather than a groomed park path — so know your abilities, wear proper footwear and carry water. The District measures the climb at 1.8 km to the 815-metre summit, 245 metres of elevation gain, and suggests 40 to 60 minutes up; the steep dirt and gravel can be slippery, so stay on the trail. Dogs are allowed, on leash through the W.A. Lang Wilderness Park access.
