Summerland Golf & Country Club is a course of two distinct halves. The front nine, on Paradise Flats, plays relatively flat and open with links-style and tree-lined holes, including four par 4s over 400 yards. The back nine turns into a grove of ponderosa pines and drops into Trout Creek Canyon terrain: rolling, elevated, and dramatic, with five holes skirting the canyon and a signature 17th requiring a tee shot across it. The closing hole is a risk-reward par 5 reachable in two for aggressive players. This semi-private club is open to public tee times, backs it up with a 300-plus-yard range, two putting greens, a chipping green, and practice bunkers, plus PGA of Canada lessons and Canyonview Bar & Grill's clubhouse dining.
