Thirteen seasons in, the Okanagan's biggest haunted corn maze has gone all-in on the number. Field of Screams takes over the fields at Historic O'Keefe Ranch north of Vernon with four separate walk-through mazes — The Village, Distortion, Chocolate Factory and the Vintage Hotel — each with its own build, its own set and its own live scare actors waiting in the corn. Parking opens at 6 pm and the mazes start taking people at 6:30, which means the whole thing happens in the dark. You can buy into one maze, two, all four, or a VIP pass that moves you up the queue. Opening week, September 25 to October 4, is the cheapest time to go, and Wednesdays are discounted all season. This is built to frighten adults: the organizers do not recommend it for children under 12, and say it is best suited to teens and adults.
