Mount Boucherie – Boucherie Rush Trail

Mount Boucherie is West Kelowna's extinct volcano, and the Boucherie Rush Trail is the way up it: about 6 km round trip, one to three hours, with 275 metres of elevation gain to the 758-metre summit and panoramic views over Okanagan Lake and the valley from the old lava flows. Visit Westside rates it moderate to difficult; the northeast face is for experienced hikers only. The trailhead is the City's Boucherie greenspace at 2775 East Boundary Road (via Bartley Road), with overflow parking at the Darroch Park ball diamonds, and the City lists dogs permitted on leash there. Part of the mountain is private property, so obey the signs, and the City closes trails at times for wildfire-mitigation work.
