Smith Creek Trails

Smith Creek is a sanctioned mountain-bike trail network on the forested hills northwest of West Kelowna, managed as a Recreation Sites and Trails BC trail in partnership with the West Kelowna Trails Club and supported by Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan. About 15 km of routes offer anywhere from one to four hours of riding, with 400 to 700 metres of climbing depending on the loop; the lower elevations hold beginner trails and the fitness and technical difficulty rise as you climb, into flowy descents, natural-feature jumps and drops and smooth singletrack. Access is from Highway 97 via Elliott Road onto Smith Creek Road, which turns to gravel; parking is in a clearing on the right just after the overhead power line. Provincial recreation-trail rules ask that pets be kept quiet and under control at all times; parking costs are not published.
