In summer, Big White's alpine trails open from the village: Falcon Ridge (about 4 km one way, 550 m of climbing, with a scramble near the top), the Rhonda Lake Circuit (4.5 km) the short Peak Trail at the summit (1 km loop), the steep Jamieson Loop with scramble sections, and the easy Alpine Meadows stroll among the summer 'snow ghost' trees; the summit trails start at the top of the chairlift. The trails run from late June to Labour Day and are under snow the rest of the year. Falcon Ridge can be hiked free from the village; the chairlift needs a ticket. Dogs on leash.
