Bluenose Mountain is a short but punchy loop in the Lavington countryside east of Vernon, climbing steep switchbacks straight from the parking lot. The first and third summits are open to hikers and look out over the Coldstream Valley farmland toward the Monashees. Expect about 4.5 km return and two hours or so; dogs are welcome on leash, and the last stretch of the drive is on gravel.
