Kruger Mountain / Blue Lake / Kilpoola Trails
Outdoor Destination · Osoyoos
Osoyoos’ mountain-bike trails are concentrated in one main area west of town on Kruger Mountain and around Blue Lake and Kilpoola — the “Desert Dirt”, as Destination Osoyoos puts it, with rocky hills, open grassland and views over Osoyoos Lake. The system is relatively small but is laid out with numerous multi-trail intersections and short connectors, so riders of any level can mix and match runs without repeating a route; trail-mapping sites chart about 50 trails and 79 km. Destination Osoyoos is clear about the ground it crosses: a mix of park land, conservation area, protected area, range land and private property, held open by a gentleman’s agreement in the small private sections — so tread lightly and leave no trace. Trails carry no official signage, only painted rocks and cairns at some intersections, so bring a trail app. Parking arrangements and costs are not published, and no dog or e-bike rules are published for the area.
