Clover Creek – Lacoma Lake Trail (Trepanier Provincial Park)

Trepanier Provincial Park protects the deep canyon of Trepanier Creek and the forest around Lacoma Lake west of Peachland, and its one trail is a full backcountry day: BC Parks describes an 11 km trail from Trepanier Creek to Lacoma Lake with about 200 metres of elevation gain — an easy grade for the first half, then steeper sections — and suggests allowing five to seven hours for a comfortable round trip. The trail is not maintained to BC Parks standards, so expect deadfall and route-finding. The trailhead parking is unmarked, reached by rough road either 6 km along Trepanier Road from Highway 97C or 7.5 km via Trepanier Bench Road; a four-wheel-drive vehicle is highly recommended. There are no facilities. The park page does not state a pet rule; BC Parks' provincewide guidance is to keep dogs leashed where required and off-leash only in designated areas, and the park has none.
