Vernon Curling Club

The Vernon Curling Club is a busy downtown club with leagues, bonspiels and the Stone's Throw Cafe overlooking the sheets. Newcomers can sign up solo or as a team for short instructional sessions that include a half-hour lesson and a six-end game, at about $30 a session. Groups of 8 to 80 can rent ice, with instruction available. Brooms and sliders are provided; wear loose clothing and bring clean rubber-soled shoes you haven't worn outside.
