Fur Brigade Trail Viewpoint (Garnet Valley Trails)

Walk a piece of the old Hudson's Bay Company fur brigade route to a big clearing with a view over Okanagan Lake, Rattlesnake Island and Peachland. It's about 8 km return with 350 m of climbing (around 2 hours) on a double-wide track; at forks, follow the "Seasonal Route" signs. For a full-day challenge, the route continues over Mount Eneas and down to Garnet Valley near Summerland, about 26 km one way, overgrown in places and best with a GPS track. Vehicles are barred from these roads January 1 to April 30.
