A former fire-lookout mountain above Penticton's West Bench, criss-crossed by trails with views over Penticton, Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. The summit loop is about 8 km with 550 m of climbing (2 to 3 hours); gentler lower loops on the south side run about 4 km. There are no signs on route and many forks, so bring a GPS map. The mountain is on Penticton Indian Band land, and the band requires a free paper permit from its administration office on Westhills Drive. Bears are common in fall; carry bear spray.
