A short, free 9-hole disc golf course near Marina Way at the north end of Penticton, with paver tee pads and baskets on every hole. The holes are short and open (about 1,200 ft in all), which makes it a good first course for beginners and kids, though the ground is hilly. Three Blind Mice Trail Network
The Three Blind Mice trail network spreads across the benchland above Penticton toward Naramata, overlooking Okanagan Lake, and is the South Okanagan’s best-known mountain-bike area: Visit Penticton counts more than 80 trails, and trail-mapping sites chart over 100 of them, winding through ponderosa pine, rock bluffs and grassland from intermediate singletrack to expert technical lines. The core of the network is a City of Penticton natural park at 1400 Riddle Road, and the Penticton and Area Cycling Association looks after the trails. Riders commonly start from the Poplar Grove parking area off Naramata Road; parking costs are not published. Close by, beside the KVR Trail at 1194 Poplar Grove Road, the City’s asphalt pump track gives riders of all ages a loop of rollers and berms to practise on. Trail signage is limited, so carry a trail app, and note that no official e-bike or dog rules are published for the network. Beside the bike trails, the Penticton Disc Golf Club's 18-hole disc golf course is another way to explore the benchland.

Apex Mountain Resort
Apex is Penticton's home mountain, a short 30-minute drive from town — 33 km, and 23 km from Penticton Airport — with 2,000 vertical feet and 1,112 skiable acres of north-east-facing terrain that catches the region's dry champagne powder, about 500 cm of it a year. Its 85 runs break down as 11 novice, 27 intermediate and 43 advanced, served by a high-speed quad, a triple chair, a T-bar and a magic carpet, and four terrain parks step up from the kids' Little Nuggets through Okanagan and Prospector to the big-feature Claim Jumper. Friday and Saturday nights are Apex's signature: from 4 to 9 pm the T-bar and Magic Carpet run under lights for night skiing on the Okanagan Run and the lit Okanagan Terrain Park, the tube park glows for night tubing, the skating loop is open late from its new Skate Shack, and the Gunbarrel Saloon — voted Canada's best après-ski bar ten times running — sits at the bottom of the run; Friday nights come with half-price lift tickets and rentals. Off the slopes, the Tim Hortons Tube Park and the kilometre-long Adventure Skating Loop through the trees each have their own page on Okanagan Roam, and Nickel Plate Nordic Centre is 6.5 km further up the road. When you arrive, take a left at the Y for the main parking lot; a winter shuttle runs from Penticton on weekends. The ski area operates in winter only; outside ski season, a free 9-hole alpine disc golf course is laid out by the ski hill parking lot.
