Wild Horse Disc Golf Course
The Central Okanagan's go-to disc golf course right now, a free nine-hole, par-27 layout in Wild Horse Park in West Kelowna's Smith Creek neighbourhood. Holes mix open turf and wooded fairways with gentle elevation changes, and a round takes roughly 35 minutes, so it's a great pick for beginners and families. The local disc golf association has moved its league nights here while Knox Mountain is closed. There are no washrooms or drinking water on site, so bring your own.

Rose Valley Regional Park
Rose Valley Regional Park is 250 ha of natural parkland in the Rose Valley neighbourhood of West Kelowna, with a network of multi-use trails, spectacular views over the valley, a conservation area and a natural pond where birds and other wildlife can be spotted. The park was badly burned in the 2023 McDougall Creek wildfire and is recovering through a phased, large-scale restoration effort, including volunteer tree planting. As of May 2026 the Regional District reports it partially re-opened with some areas still closed to visitors — observe the barricades and signage and check the RDCO wildfire-recovery page before you go. Washrooms are provided and dogs are welcome on leash. Visit Westside describes the main circuit as about 6 km round trip with roughly 80 metres of elevation gain, moderate to difficult, taking two to four hours.

Smith Creek Trails
Smith Creek is a sanctioned mountain-bike trail network on the forested hills northwest of West Kelowna, managed as a Recreation Sites and Trails BC trail in partnership with the West Kelowna Trails Club and supported by Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan. About 15 km of routes offer anywhere from one to four hours of riding, with 400 to 700 metres of climbing depending on the loop; the lower elevations hold beginner trails and the fitness and technical difficulty rise as you climb, into flowy descents, natural-feature jumps and drops and smooth singletrack. Access is from Highway 97 via Elliott Road onto Smith Creek Road, which turns to gravel; parking is in a clearing on the right just after the overhead power line. Provincial recreation-trail rules ask that pets be kept quiet and under control at all times; parking costs are not published.
Play: Flowy MTB network: 36+ trails, 26 km singletrack
