Carrot Mountain is one of the Okanagan's toughest short hikes, a 4.3 km loop that climbs about 550 m from West Kelowna's Shannon Lake neighbourhood past a seasonal waterfall to a narrow ridge. The payoff is a wide view over Okanagan Lake and Mount Boucherie. The unmaintained trail has loose shale, roots and bluff edges, so wear good footwear and skip it when it's wet or icy.
