The McDougall Rim Trail is a demanding 20 km loop high above West Kelowna, gaining about 1,100 m on its way to ridgelines, creek valleys and big viewpoints, with a seasonal waterfall around the 4 km mark. The route is unofficial and unmarked, and footing is rough since the 2023 McDougall Creek wildfire, so bring an offline map, plenty of water and a full day. Park on the gravel off Bartley Road just before the cattle guard; there are no washrooms.
