Vidler Ridge Trail

An alpine-meadow ridge walk above Sugar Lake, with wildflowers and views to Sugar Mountain, Goat Mountain and Twin Peaks. It's about 11 km with 330 m of climbing (about 6 hours), steep for the first kilometre. The access road off Sugar Lake Road is rough, narrow and full of switchbacks, so go from July to September in a high-clearance vehicle. It's in the Monashee backcountry about 65 to 70 km east of Lumby, near Cherryville.
