Okanagan Beach

Okanagan Beach runs nearly a kilometre along Penticton’s Lakeshore Drive, a stretch of premium sand beside the SS Sicamous that anchors the city’s festival season from May to September. The swimming area has rest rafts to swim out to and kiddie slides for the small ones, and across the road Lakawanna Park adds spray features and a fenced playground. Shade trees, free parking and washrooms nearby (the Okanagan Lake universal washroom is open year-round) keep the day easy, and seasonal mobi-mats and mobi-chairs open the beach to wheelchair users. Two seasonal fire pits sit near Power Street. Dogs are not permitted.
