Skaha Beach

Skaha Beach is Penticton’s family beach and, by the City’s account, ranked among the top beaches in Canada: a long stretch of sand on a calm lake with warm water, backed by Skaha Lake Park and its playgrounds, water park, sand volleyball courts and tennis courts. Seasonal mobi-mats and mobi-chairs make the sand and water reachable for wheelchair users, and two beach fire pits near the volleyball courts can be used when the seasonal fire rings are out. The Skaha Main and Skaha East universal washrooms are open year-round, with seasonal park washrooms from May 1 to September 30. Parking in Skaha Lake Park is free for cars; vehicles with boat trailers pay a fee at the on-site lot from May 1 ($5.10 for a half day, $10.20 for a full day). Dogs are not permitted.
