The Walk of Terror Spectacular
Caravan Farm Theatre's big Halloween night spans fifty acres and ends in the Timber Barn, with community performers, fire spinning and stilt walking by Kinshira, and a dance party with Calgary nine-piece funk band Freak Motif. Come in costume for the promenade and cash prizes. Food trucks and a bar serving local beer, spirits and hot drinks. Only 1,000 tickets.

Christmas Markets at Farmstrong Cider
Farmstrong Cider's farm in Armstrong hosts two Saturday Christmas markets with dozens of local vendors, festive food and drink and wagon rides. Park at the IPE grounds and ride the $5 shuttle, as there's no parking at the cidery.

Le Hockey Sweater
Caravan Farm Theatre's winter show is a joyful, raucous take on Roch Carrier's Canadian classic The Hockey Sweater — a celebration of all things Québécois that brings an outdoor hockey game to the farm's fields and forests. Devised and directed by Manon Beaudoin. Shows run about 60 minutes, at 5 and 7 pm, with an extra 3 pm show on many dates from December 5 to January 3; the December 1–4 previews are pay-what-you-can. Adult tickets are $68.25–$78.75 and youth (16 and under) $42–$52.50. It's performed outdoors, so dress warmly.

Christmas Sleigh Rides at Ottercrest Farms
Horse-drawn Christmas sleigh rides at Ottercrest Farms on select December afternoons, with rides every half hour. Tickets $31 adults, $20 children 4–12; children 3 and under ride free.
