Cougar Canyon Trail (Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park)

A short trail along the rim of Cougar Canyon to a viewpoint over Kalamalka Lake, in a corner of the park better known for rock climbing. It's about 3 km return with under 150 m of climbing (about an hour). Wander the canyon's climbing access paths too, and look for the spot where cold air blows up from the rocks below. Park in the Cougar Canyon lot on the gravel part of Cosens Bay Road; the neighbouring ecological reserve is closed without a permit.
