Rim Rocks Trail

A hike above Coldstream that ends in a hidden volcanic hollow full of huge boulders, about 20 minutes' drive from downtown Vernon. Follow the white signs with green arrows: a wide path, then single track with views of Bluenose Mountain, Coldstream and Vernon, then a very short, very steep drop into the boulder field. The loop is about 6 km with 430 m of climbing (2.5 to 3.5 hours), and scrambling the rocks takes extra time.
