The Bear is Jack Nicklaus's take on Okanagan golf: a par-72 course stretching to 6,852 yards through ponderosa pine forest, with wider, more receptive fairways than its sister course next door. It's the longer of The Okanagan Golf Club's two 18s but the more forgiving one, favouring golfers who want to make a decisive strike from the tee without punishing every miss. As part of this 36-hole, semi-private GolfBC facility, Bear golfers get a strong practice setup: a double-ended grass driving range plus dedicated chipping and putting areas, with GBC Golf Academy instructors available. The Spanish Southwest-style clubhouse houses the golf shop and Table Nineteen restaurant, a solid stop for a post-round meal on the patio. The Quail Course, sharing the property, is the tighter, more demanding option.

The Quail is the more demanding of The Okanagan Golf Club's two courses: a Les Furber design from 1994 that's shorter than its sister Bear Course at 6,576 yards and par 71, but tighter and more strategic, winding through ponderosa pines across the more mountainous, elevation-changed part of the property. You won't always reach for the driver here; positioning matters more than power. It's part of the same 36-hole, semi-private GolfBC facility as the Bear, so Quail golfers share the double-ended grass driving range and dedicated chipping and putting greens, plus GBC Golf Academy lessons if you want them. The Spanish Southwest-style clubhouse's Table Nineteen restaurant and patio are a good finish to the round. If you want a longer, more open test, the Bear is right there.

The Harvest Golf Club
The Harvest is where Okanagan golf meets Okanagan agriculture: 18 semi-private holes routed through 44 acres of working apple orchard and surrounded by vineyards, with a dining room that looks out over the course, Okanagan Lake, and the city below. Par 72, and scenic in a way photos undersell. The practice facility is the standout, the largest in the Okanagan at roughly 16,000 square feet, with grass and synthetic tees, target greens, a big putting green, and two separate chipping greens with sand bunkers, open to non-members and available on a Practice On-Demand key so you're not tied to shop hours. The Harvest Golf Academy's PGA of Canada professionals run lessons for every level. Afterward, Masa's Grill on the patio is one of Kelowna's better clubhouse dining rooms, not just a place to grab a burger.
