How we pick our Local Favourites

A Local Favourite is a place people who live here genuinely love and recommend. We pick each one by hand and look for real local roots: locally owned or run, part of the community for years, recognized by local media, community groups or the town itself, or simply a place locals send their friends. High ratings or being popular with tourists aren’t enough on their own. Each card has a short “Local pick” note saying why it’s here.

Open Now is based on each place’s listed hours. Hours can change for holidays, seasons or special closures — check with the venue before you go.
